Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of keptweb.com and the services provided by KeptWeb ("KeptWeb", "we", "us"). By subscribing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
KeptWeb provides website maintenance plans (Basic, Growth and Pro) and website-building packages, as described on our website at the time you sign up. We may update plan features with notice to you.
2. Subscription, price and automatic renewal
- Maintenance plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically each month until you cancel. Current prices: Basic $49/month, Growth $99/month, Pro $149/month, plus any applicable taxes.
- By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method at the start of each monthly billing period at the then-current price.
- We will give you at least 7 days' notice by email before any price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
- Changing plans: upgrades take effect right away, and the price difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Plans can't be paused. If you have a 12-month build commitment, section 4 also applies.
3. How to cancel
Cancel anytime using the online form at keptweb.com/cancel/, or by emailing hello@keptweb.com, ideally from your account email with the subject "Cancel". No phone call is required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month and you will not be charged again. We do not refund partial months unless required by law.
4. Website builds and the 12-month commitment
Some website-build offers are discounted or $0 upfront in exchange for a 12-month maintenance plan commitment. These are optional and are stated in writing before you agree. The Starter build is $0 with any 12-month plan, the Business build is $0 with a 12-month Growth or Pro plan, and the Store build is $499 with a 12-month Pro plan. The 12 months start at your first payment. During the 12 months, you can downgrade only to a plan that still qualifies for your build; moving to a plan that doesn't qualify is treated as cancelling early, and the formula below applies. Builds usually take 2–3 weeks after we receive your content and include 2 rounds of revisions. Store builds are on Shopify. If you choose one and cancel the plan before 12 months, the remaining (unpaid) build fee becomes due. The remaining amount is calculated as: remaining build amount × (12 − months paid) ÷ 12, rounded to the nearest dollar (remaining build amount = the part of the regular build price not paid upfront: Starter $349, Business $849, Store $1,350 after the $499 paid upfront; e.g. Business build, cancel after 4 months: $849 × 8/12 = $566). Put simply: Your build fee goes down by 1/12 for every month you stay. Cancel early and you only pay what's left. Stay 12 months and you owe nothing. Plain month-to-month maintenance plans have no commitment.
Cancelling a $0 or discounted build early: Your build fee goes down by 1/12 for every month you stay. Cancel early and you only pay what's left. Stay 12 months and you owe nothing.

| Build | After 3 months paid | After 6 months paid | After 9 months paid | After 12 months paid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter ($349) | $262 | $175 | $87 | $0 |
| Business ($849) | $637 | $425 | $212 | $0 |
| Store* | $1,013 | $675 | $338 | $0 |
*Store: remaining $1,350 after the $499 paid upfront.
Formula: remaining build amount × (12 − months paid) ÷ 12, rounded to the nearest dollar (remaining build amount = the part of the regular build price not paid upfront: Starter $349, Business $849, Store $1,350 after the $499 paid upfront; e.g. Business build, cancel after 4 months: $849 × 8/12 = $566).
5. Small edits and extra work
A "small edit" is a change that takes about 30 minutes or less, such as updating text, swapping an image, or changing hours or prices. Basic includes 1 per month and Growth up to 4. Pro includes up to 10 small edits per month, handled one request at a time in the order received, for a single business website. Each plan covers one website; a second website gets its own plan at 20% off. Requests are worked on during support hours. Small edits beyond your plan's monthly allowance (1 on Basic, 4 on Growth, 10 on Pro) are quoted separately before any work starts, the same way larger jobs (new pages, redesigns, new features) are quoted on every plan. On Growth and Pro, we write the included blog posts and publish them only after you approve them; unused posts don't roll over. Basic SEO on Pro covers page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, sitemap and Search Console setup, plus a quarterly check; it does not guarantee any ranking (see section 9). One-time work for sites that aren't on a plan is separate from the plans: a "Fix it now" urgent fix is $149 (credited up to $149 toward your first plan payments if you sign up for a plan within 30 days), and hacked-site cleanup is quoted after a free assessment, starting at $299. The credit has no cash value and is never refunded as cash.
6. Your responsibilities
You confirm you own or have the right to use the content, images, accounts and access you provide, and that your website content complies with the law. You are responsible for your own business claims and any industry rules that apply to you.
7. Ownership
You own your website, content and domain. Your domain and your platform or hosting plan are in your name and paid by you directly to the provider; we can set them up for you. If you leave, you keep everything. On cancellation we will hand back access to your accounts.
8. Support hours and response times
Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Pacific. Automated monitoring runs 24/7, but we respond during support hours; we do not provide after-hours or emergency support. Response times listed on plans are targets, not guarantees.
9. No guarantees; limitation of liability
We work to keep your site secure and online, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, security against every threat, or any search ranking or business result. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Third-party services
Your site may rely on third-party platforms (such as hosting, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Shopify). Those are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for their outages or changes. All product names and trademarks are property of their respective owners; KeptWeb is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be handled in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers before they take effect.
