What isn't a small edit? Adding a new page, for example, is not a small edit. New pages are $99 each.

Plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime online or by emailing hello@keptweb.com; it takes effect at the end of the paid month. Support hours are Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm PT, and reply times are targets. A small edit is a change that takes about 30 minutes or less, such as updating text, swapping an image, or changing hours or prices. Pro includes up to 10 small edits per month; extra edits are quoted separately, as described in our Terms of Service. 12-month build terms apply. Plan changes: upgrades take effect right away (prorated); downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle; plans can't be paused. Downgrade rules during a discounted build are in the 12-month build terms. Each plan covers one website; a second website gets its own plan at 20% off. Basic SEO on Pro covers page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, sitemap and Search Console setup, plus a quarterly check (no ranking guarantees). Blog posts on Growth and Pro are written by us and published only after you approve them; unused posts don't roll over.
12-month build terms
Care plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime online or by emailing hello@keptweb.com, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. A $0 or discounted website build is different. It needs a 12-month plan, counted from your first payment: the Starter build with any plan, the Business build with Growth or Pro, and the Store build at $499 with Pro. If you cancel that plan early, you pay only the unpaid part of the build fee. During those 12 months you can downgrade only to a plan that still qualifies for the build. The amount still owed is in the table below. The formula is also in the Terms of Service.
Cancelling a $0 or discounted build early: Your build fee goes down by 1/12 for every month you stay. Cancel early and you only pay what's left. Stay 12 months and you owe nothing.

What if something breaks?
Our uptime monitoring alerts us if your site goes down. We investigate during support hours (Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm PT), restore from a backup if needed, and tell you what happened and what we did. Fixing problems caused by updates we applied is included in every plan. See our website help guides.
What if a plugin or software update breaks my site?
We test core, plugin and theme updates before they go live (monthly on Basic, weekly on Growth and Pro) and take a backup first. If an update we applied still causes a problem, we fix it or roll back to the last good backup at no extra cost, on every plan.
What counts as a small edit?
A change that takes about 30 minutes or less: updating text, swapping an image, changing hours or prices, adding a team member, or fixing a broken link. Basic includes 1 per month, Growth up to 4, and Pro up to 10, handled one request at a time. New pages are $99 each.
What do basic SEO and blog posts include?
Basic SEO (on Pro) covers page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, sitemap and Search Console setup, plus a quarterly check. No one can honestly guarantee rankings, so we don't. Blog posts (1 a month on Growth, 2 on Pro): we write them, and you approve each one before it's published. Unused posts don't roll over.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep your site, files and accounts. Maintenance plans are month-to-month, so you can cancel anytime online at keptweb.com/cancel/ or by email. 12-month build terms apply.
Can I change or pause my plan?
You can upgrade anytime; it takes effect right away, and the price difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. Plans can't be paused. During a 12-month build commitment, you can downgrade only to a plan that still qualifies for your build; otherwise the early-cancel formula applies (see how it's calculated).
Who owns the hosting and logins?
You do. Your domain, hosting and site logins stay in your name. We use our own access to do the work, and you can remove it at any time. For a new site, we set up your domain and platform or hosting plan in your name, and you pay the provider directly, so you keep everything if you leave. We can also help set up Google Workspace business email (you pay Google directly).

WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and Shopify. Not on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Shopify? Ask us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
I have more than one website. How does that work?
Each plan covers one website. A second website gets its own plan at 20% off.
How fast do you respond?
Support hours are Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm PT. Our reply targets: Basic: within 2 business days. Growth: within 1 business day. Pro: the same business day for requests received by 2 pm PT; later requests get a reply the next business day. Automated uptime monitoring runs 24/7, but people respond during support hours; we don't offer after-hours or emergency support.
