Short, factual answers about KeptWeb website care and builds. Last updated .

What is KeptWeb?

KeptWeb is a website care (maintenance) and website design service for small businesses, based in Beverly Hills, CA. It keeps sites current, fast and working: monitoring, tested updates, backups, security scans, small edits and a plain-English monthly report, with requests handled by email.

Where does KeptWeb work?

KeptWeb is based in Beverly Hills, CA and serves small businesses in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, including Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Culver City and Burbank, plus remote clients anywhere.

How much does KeptWeb cost?

Monthly care plans: Basic $49/month, Growth $99/month, Pro $149/month. Plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. $0 and discounted builds need a 12-month plan; if you cancel early, you pay only the unpaid part of the build fee.

What is included in the Basic plan ($49/month)?

Uptime monitoring with alerts; regular backups on WordPress, kept 30 days (Squarespace, Wix and Shopify: platform backups plus copies of key content); core, plugin and theme updates monthly, tested before going live; a monthly security scan; 1 small edit per month; a plain-English monthly report; reply target within 2 business days.

What is included in the Growth plan ($99/month)?

Everything in Basic, plus weekly tested updates instead of monthly, up to 4 small edits per month, Google Business Profile updates, 1 blog post per month, and a reply target within 1 business day.

What is included in the Pro plan ($149/month)?

Everything in Growth, plus up to 10 small edits per month (handled one request at a time), 2 blog posts per month, basic SEO (page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, sitemap and Search Console setup, plus a quarterly check; no ranking guarantees), and a same-day reply target for requests received by 2 pm PT, Mon–Fri.

Who writes the blog posts on Growth and Pro?

KeptWeb writes them, and you approve each post before it's published. Unused posts don't roll over.

What counts as a small edit?

A change that takes about 30 minutes or less: updating text, swapping an image, changing hours or prices, adding a team member, or fixing a broken link. Basic includes 1 per month, Growth up to 4, and Pro up to 10. New pages are $99 each.

Does KeptWeb build new websites?

Yes. Starter (1–5 pages): $349, or $0 with any 12-month plan. Business (6–10 pages): $849, or $0 with a 12-month Growth or Pro plan. Store (on Shopify, up to about 25 products): $1,849, or $499 with a 12-month Pro plan. Extra pages are $99 each. A build usually takes 2–3 weeks after we receive your content and includes 2 rounds of revisions. You own your site.

Is there a contract?

Maintenance plans are month-to-month; cancel anytime online at keptweb.com/cancel/ or by email to hello@keptweb.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month. $0 and discounted builds require a 12-month plan. The 12 months start at your first payment.

What if I cancel a $0 or discounted build plan early?

You pay only the unpaid part of the build fee: remaining build amount × (12 − months paid) ÷ 12, rounded to the nearest dollar. The remaining build amount is Starter $349, Business $849, or Store $1,350 (after the $499 paid upfront). Example: Business build cancelled after 4 months: $849 × 8/12 = $566.

Can I change or pause my plan?

Upgrades take effect right away (prorated). Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Plans can't be paused. During a 12-month build commitment, you can downgrade only to a plan that still qualifies for your build; otherwise the early-cancel formula applies.

Which platforms does KeptWeb support?

WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and Shopify. Not on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Shopify? Ask us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.

Does one plan cover more than one website?

No. Each plan covers one website. A second website gets its own plan at 20% off.

Who owns the site, domain and logins?

You do. Your domain, hosting and site logins stay in your name. KeptWeb uses its own access to do the work, and you can remove it at any time. If you cancel, you keep your site, files and accounts. For a new site, KeptWeb sets up your domain and platform or hosting plan in your name, and you pay the provider directly. KeptWeb can also help set up Google Workspace business email (you pay Google directly).

What are support hours and reply times?

Support hours are Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm PT. Reply targets: Basic within 2 business days; Growth within 1 business day; Pro the same business day for requests received by 2 pm PT. Automated uptime monitoring runs 24/7; there is no after-hours or emergency support.

What if an update breaks my site?

Updates are tested before going live (monthly on Basic, weekly on Growth and Pro) and a backup is taken first. If an update KeptWeb applied causes a problem, it is fixed or rolled back to the last good backup at no extra cost, on every plan.

Can KeptWeb help if my site is not on a plan?

Yes. Fix it now is a one-time urgent fix for $149; if you sign up for a plan within 30 days, up to $149 is credited toward your first plan payments (the credit has no cash value). Hacked-site cleanup starts with a free assessment, then a one-time quote starting at $299, separate from any plan. Email hello@keptweb.com; we aim to reply within 1 business day.
