Squarespace website help

Squarespace handles hosting and software updates. What it doesn't do is keep your content current, your pages improving, or your site checked. That's where KeptWeb comes in.

Common Squarespace problems we help prevent or fix

  • Hours and details in three different places

Squarespace sites often show hours in a text block, the footer and an old announcement bar, and they rarely all get updated. We update every spot, then match your Google Business Profile on Growth and Pro. Our guide to updating hours and forms on Squarespace shows where to look.

  • Form submissions going to a former employee

A form block's storage settings point at whatever email was set when the site was built. We check where submissions go and send a test each month.

  • Expired connections

Forms linked to Google Drive or Mailchimp, and Instagram blocks, can disconnect after a password change. We spot broken connections during monthly checks.

  • "I don't want to learn the editor"

Squarespace is approachable, but sections, blocks and style settings still take time to learn. Email us the change and we'll make it.

  • Version 7.0 vs 7.1 confusion

Older Squarespace sites work differently from newer ones, and help articles don't always say which version they mean. We know both and can tell you which you're on.

What this looks like in practice

A typical example: you're changing your hours for summer and adding a new service. We update the hours block, footer and any announcement bar, add the service to your services page in the existing style, send a test through the contact form, and on Growth and Pro update your Google Business Profile to match. Squarespace runs hosting and platform updates, so there's nothing for us to patch; our work is content, checks and improvements.

Plans at a glance

Three flat monthly plans, month-to-month. $0 and discounted builds need a 12-month plan. Cancel anytime online or by emailing hello@keptweb.com.

  • Basic, $49/mo: uptime monitoring every 5 minutes, monthly checks of forms, key links and connected apps or integrations, copies of your key content using Squarespace's export tools where available, a monthly review of who has access to your site, 1 small edit per month, and a reply target of 2 business days.
  • Growth, $99/mo: everything in Basic, plus weekly site checks, up to 4 small edits per month, Google Business Profile updates, 1 blog post per month, and a reply target of 1 business day.
  • Pro, $149/mo: everything in Growth, plus up to 10 small edits per month, 2 blog posts per month, basic SEO, and a same-business-day reply target for requests received by 2 pm PT, Mon–Fri.
  • Squarespace runs the hosting, platform software updates and its own backup or version-history tools, so on Squarespace sites we don't do plugin or core updates; our plans focus on content, checks and improvements instead.

A small edit is a change that takes about 30 minutes or less, such as updating text, swapping an image, or changing hours or prices. New website builds: Starter $349, or $0 with any 12-month plan; Business $849, or $0 with a 12-month Growth or Pro plan; Store $1,849, or $499 with a 12-month Pro plan. $0 and discounted builds need a 12-month plan; if you cancel early, you pay only the unpaid part of the build fee (see how it's calculated).

Frequently asked questions

How do you access my Squarespace site?

You invite us as a contributor with the permissions you choose. You keep ownership and billing, and can remove us anytime.

Can you redesign my Squarespace site without moving platforms?

Yes. We can refresh layouts, fonts, colors and sections within Squarespace. A larger redesign is quoted as a build project.

Do you work with Squarespace Commerce or Scheduling?

Yes, for product updates and basic scheduling settings such as availability and appointment types. Payment setup and billing stay in your account.

Can you move my site from Squarespace to WordPress?

Yes, as a build project. Squarespace's export is limited, so some pages are rebuilt rather than copied.

Do I still need backups on Squarespace?

Squarespace keeps the platform running but doesn't offer full-site restores the way WordPress hosting can. We keep copies of your key content using its export tools where available.
